uh oh. i’m a bad teacher then :(.
stress = F/A where F = force applied, A = area over which force is applied, and stress is often denoted as the greek lowercase letter, sigma.
F = ma is the formula for force (as mentioned above) where F = force applied (often referred to as the “load”), m = mass of the object, a = acceleration the object is experiencing.
